This Legal Notice governs the use of the Maid in Maryland website and all services provided by K&F Imports LLC. By using our website or booking services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Legal Entity & Scope

Maid in Maryland is a trade name of K&F Imports LLC, a Maryland-registered limited liability company providing residential, commercial, and short-term rental cleaning services throughout Maryland, Washington D.C., and Northern Virginia.

This Legal Notice applies to all website visitors, customers, clients, and third parties who interact with our services, communications, or digital platforms.

2. Independent Contractors & Workforce Structure

The Company may operate using employees, subcontractors, or independent contractors. All individuals performing services are authorized representatives acting on behalf of the Company within the scope of assigned work.

No contractor shall be considered an employee of the client. The Company retains full discretion over assignment, scheduling, and execution of services.

3. No Warranties or Performance Guarantees

All services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we maintain professional cleaning standards, we do not guarantee: stain removal, odor elimination, mold remediation, restoration of surfaces, or achievement of specific aesthetic results.

Results may vary depending on surface condition, material age, prior damage, product compatibility, and environmental factors.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maid in Maryland and K&F Imports LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of property value, business interruption, emotional distress, or loss of use.

Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, weakened materials, hidden defects, or deterioration not visible prior to service.

5. Client Property Condition Disclaimer

Clients are responsible for ensuring that all surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and items are in safe and stable condition prior to service.

The Company is not liable for damage caused by pre-existing wear, improper installation, unstable objects, or fragile materials that are not disclosed in advance.

6. Right to Refuse, Pause, or Terminate Service

The Company reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate service at any time if conditions are unsafe, unsanitary, hazardous, or outside the agreed scope of work.

This includes but is not limited to: biohazards, pest infestations, unsafe structural conditions, aggressive behavior, or unlawful activity on premises.

7. Access, Safety & Work Environment

Clients must provide safe, lawful, and unobstructed access to the property. Failure to provide access may result in partial or full service charges.

The Company is not responsible for delays caused by restricted access, locked areas, unsafe conditions, or incomplete client preparation.

8. Damage Reporting & Claims Procedure

Any alleged damage must be reported within 48 hours of service completion, accompanied by reasonable documentation.

The Company reserves the right to inspect the property and determine whether damage is service-related or pre-existing. Remedies, if applicable, may include repair, replacement, or refund up to service value only.

9. Chemicals, Allergies & Sensitivities

Cleaning services may involve the use of commercial-grade detergents, disinfectants, and cleaning agents.

The Company is not liable for allergic reactions, respiratory irritation, or sensitivities. Clients must disclose any chemical restrictions prior to service if special accommodations are required.

10. Third-Party Products & Services

We may use or recommend third-party products, tools, or platforms. The Company is not responsible for third-party performance, warranties, or defects.

11. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control, including weather conditions, natural disasters, illness, transportation failure, labor shortages, power outages, or government restrictions.

12. Intellectual Property & Website Use

All website content, branding, logos, text, images, and materials are owned by K&F Imports LLC and protected under applicable intellectual property laws. Unauthorized copying, reproduction, or commercial use is strictly prohibited.

13. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks

Clients agree not to initiate fraudulent chargebacks or payment disputes. Any dispute must be resolved directly with the Company prior to initiating bank or processor claims.

Fraudulent disputes may result in collections action, service termination, and legal recovery efforts.

14. Governing Law

This Legal Notice is governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any disputes shall be resolved in Maryland courts unless otherwise required by law.

15. Severability

If any provision of this Legal Notice is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.
